Greetings and welcome back to a new academic year. The educational community in Seneca County welcomed students with great anticipation and enthusiasm. This year promises to be one filled with opportunities to expand our minds, investigate new initiatives, and challenge ourselves and each other to step outside our place of comfort. Calvert was blessed to begin the academic year with our annual All School Mass at the East Green. The sky was Calvert blue, the sun was shining, and many family and community members were able to join us.
We have two fundraising events rapidly approaching, the “Day of Giving,” on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, and the annual Autumn Auction on Saturday, October 15, 2022. These are both great opportunities to support our students through your generous contributions. Thank you for your continued support.
We will continue to expand and enhance academic excellence through the academy and high school through internships, job shadowing, expansive university course offerings, life skills programming, academic department collaboration, and alignment, with increased student support from the Student Success department.
We are focused on growing our Performing Arts experience for students by bringing in an additional music faculty member and increasing program opportunities. At the elementary campus, we are beginning an interdisciplinary enrichment program for grades 3-5, will continue to offer a robust Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics (STEAM) program, and we are incorporating a newly created garden on campus into the learning experience.
Calvert is thankful for your prayers and support that allows us to continue our “different by design” mission of education. Having a choice for your education, especially during such formative years, is critical. Please give us a call, or email rgriffith@calvertcatholic.org to schedule a time to come visit and learn more.
God Bless and Go Blue
